Soil pH Balancing

Healthy lawns start with balanced soil. If your soil’s pH is off, grass can’t properly absorb nutrients—no matter how much fertilizer is applied. Our lime application service begins with testing your soil’s pH to determine exactly what your lawn needs to reach the ideal 6–7 range for optimal growth. If the pH is below 6.0, agricultural limestone is typically applied to safely raise it. If the pH is above 7.5, sulfur may be used to gently lower it, although this is less common in Missouri. Correcting pH improves nutrient availability, strengthens root development, and helps your lawn grow thicker, greener, and more resilient. Because this service includes soil testing and a customized application rate, pricing varies from our standard programs based on your lawn’s specific needs.
